Fresh 48 Photography at Singapore Hospitals

A Fresh 48 session happens in your hospital ward within your baby’s first 48 hours: 50 minutes to 1 hour of quiet, documentary photography while the two of you are still learning each other’s faces. We have photographed Fresh 48 sessions at all the major Singapore hospitals, and this guide covers what to expect at each one.

The short version for every hospital: book with your EDD during your third trimester, message us when baby arrives, and we come to the ward within the 48-hour window. Sessions are SGD 499 with every edited image included, a 50% deposit by PayNow or bank transfer, and no reschedule fee, because babies pick their own dates.

Fresh 48 at Each Major Singapore Hospital

Mount Elizabeth (Orchard and Novena)

Mount Elizabeth runs two campuses, Orchard and Novena, and we photograph at both. Tell us which one when you book, since the timing around your ward’s routine is what we plan for, not the address. Private rooms make Fresh 48 straightforward here: good window light, space for grandparents and siblings to visit, and privacy for feeding shots if you want them.

Gleneagles Hospital

Gleneagles at Napier Road is a regular Fresh 48 location for us. The routine is the same as any private ward: we arrive at your confirmed time, work quietly around feeds and nurse rounds, and pause whenever medical staff need the room. Fifty minutes to an hour, and we are gone before you miss the quiet.

Thomson Medical Centre

Thomson Medical has been delivering Singapore babies for generations, and a good share of our Fresh 48 families are there. The wards are familiar territory for us. If your confinement plan starts straight after discharge, tell us, because a Fresh 48 can also happen at your confinement centre if the hospital window does not work out.

Mount Alvernia Hospital

Mount Alvernia’s maternity wards are another regular for us. As with every hospital, confirm with your ward when you are admitted that a photographer visit is fine, and we coordinate the rest: timing around visiting hours, your rest, and baby’s feeds.

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH)

KKH is Singapore’s largest women’s and children’s hospital, and as a public hospital its visitor policies can be tighter and can change. Check the current visitor guidelines with your ward once you are admitted, and let us know what they allow. Where a ward visit is not possible within the window, we move the session to your first days at home or your confinement centre, at no charge, and the photos are no less real for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Singapore hospitals allow Fresh 48 photographers?

Most private hospitals in Singapore do, and we have photographed in all the major ones. Policies can change, so confirm with your ward when you are admitted, and we will coordinate timing around visiting hours and your rest. For public hospitals like KKH, check the current guidelines with your ward, and if a visit is not possible we shift to a home or confinement-centre session instead.

How does booking work when nobody knows the date?

You book with your estimated due date during your third trimester, and we hold a flexible window around it. We take a limited number of Fresh 48 bookings each month so we can stay flexible for every one of them. When baby arrives, you or your partner messages us, and we come to the ward within the 48-hour window, usually 24 to 36 hours after birth so you have rested first.

What does a Fresh 48 session cost?

SGD 499 at any of these hospitals, with every edited image included in full resolution and your gallery delivered within 2 weeks. A 50% deposit by PayNow or bank transfer books your window, the balance is paid after the session, and there is no reschedule fee. If a longer NICU stay means Fresh 48 truly cannot happen, the deposit transfers to a newborn or family session, or is refunded if Fresh 48 was the only session you wanted. Full details in our Fresh 48 pricing guide.

What should we prepare in the ward?

Almost nothing. You stay in bed, baby stays in the bassinet or your arms, and a hospital gown is completely fine. If you want a personal touch, pack one meaningful item: a special swaddle, a handwritten note, the first onesie. Our what to wear guide covers the rest.
