The best time to photograph newborns is when your baby is between 5 to 14 days old. During this window, babies are generally still:

• Sleepy

• Naturally curled up

• Comfortable being gently posed

⏳ What If My Baby Is Older?

Don’t worry! We’ve photographed babies at 3, 4, even 6 weeks old and still created beautiful, meaningful portraits. At Orange Studios, we adjust our approach based on your baby’s age, comfort, and personality — there’s no such thing as “too late.”

Why Booking Early Matters

We always recommend booking your newborn shoot during your second or early third trimester, around weeks 20–32. This way:

• You can secure a spot in our schedule

• We’ll pencil in your estimated due date

• Once baby arrives, we’ll adjust the exact date accordingly

Newborn slots fill up quickly (especially during peak months), and early booking means you won’t miss the window you’re hoping for.

What If My Baby Arrives Early or Late?

That’s totally normal — we keep your due date flexible. Once baby arrives, just drop us a message and we’ll coordinate the session within your preferred week.
