Family Photoshoots in Singapore: What to Expect

A family photoshoot in Singapore costs anywhere from about $300 to $1,400 depending on the studio, how many people are in the frame, and how many images you actually walk away with. Sessions run 1 to 1.5 hours, and most families book either a studio session, an outdoor session at a park or beach, or a home visit.

What a Family Session Actually Looks Like

We shoot roughly 70% candid and 30% guided. That ratio matters more than it sounds. The guided part gives you the frames you will print: everyone together, looking at the camera, nobody blinking. The candid part is where the photos you actually love come from, because that is where your family behaves like your family.

A session runs 1 to 1.5 hours. We do not rush it, and we do not fill it with poses. If your toddler needs ten minutes to warm up, they get ten minutes. If your baby needs feeding halfway through, we stop.

Nobody has to hold a smile while a photographer counts down. We give you something to do instead, and we photograph what happens.

Studio, Outdoor, or Home?

Studio

Our studio at Oxley Bizhub, 67 Ubi Road 1, is air-conditioned and controlled. No weather, no crowds, no insects, and no packing a bag for a park. Best if you have a baby, if it is midday, or if you simply want clean, timeless portraits with nothing competing for attention.

Outdoor

We shoot at parks, gardens and beaches across Singapore. Morning sessions from 7 to 9am give you the softest light and the coolest temperature, which matters more here than most people expect.

You do not need a permit. Permits are not required for family photoshoots at Singapore’s public parks and gardens, including the Botanic Gardens. Conservatory interiors at Gardens by the Bay require entry tickets only. Permits apply to large commercial productions, not families.

Home

Home sessions are available on request, anywhere in Singapore. These suit families with newborns, families who would rather not travel, and anyone who wants the version of their life that actually happened in the place it happened. Message us and we will sort out the details.

How Much Does a Family Photoshoot Cost in Singapore?

Most families pay between $480 and $800 for a full session at an established studio.

Our pricing: SGD 499 for up to four family members. Each additional person or pet joins at SGD 50. So two parents with three children is SGD 549, and you know that number before you book.

For multigenerational sessions, message us on WhatsApp with your total headcount and we will quote for the full group. A session for eleven people is planned differently from a session for five, with more guided time so every pairing gets its frame.

The headline price is rarely the whole story elsewhere. Check the per-person charge, and check how many images you receive. Some studios price by the photo. A $388 session that delivers two images costs $194 per photo.

Bringing Young Children

This is the question we are asked most, usually phrased as an apology. It does not need to be.

Toddlers do not sit still, and we do not ask them to. A two-year-old who is running around is a two-year-old being photographed accurately. The sessions that go badly are the ones where everyone is tense about the child behaving, and children read that instantly.

What actually helps: book around naps rather than around your calendar, bring a snack, and let them warm up for the first ten minutes without a camera in their face. We work at their pace.

If your child has a meltdown, we pause. It is not a wasted session. It is fifteen minutes.

Multigenerational Sessions

Three-generation sessions are among the most meaningful work we do, and often the reason a family finally books: grandparents visiting, a milestone birthday, or a realisation that there is no photograph of everyone together.

Practical notes: give grandparents the colour brief early, because they will ask. Comfortable shoes matter more than styling, since arranging a large group involves standing. And avoid the classic split where one generation wears all black and another all white, which cuts the group photo in half.

Pets

Our studio is pet friendly and pets are family. A pet joins at SGD 50, the same as any additional family member, indoors or outdoors.

What to Wear

Coordinate, do not match. Choose a palette of two or three colours and let everyone wear a different piece of it. Soft neutrals, earth tones and muted colours photograph best and will not date the photo.

Avoid logos, cartoon characters, busy patterns, and head-to-toe black or white for everyone. And avoid brand-new stiff clothing nobody has moved in.

What You Receive

Every edited image, in full resolution, with printing rights. No caps, no per-image charges.

We cull the blinks and duplicates, edit every keeper individually, and hand over the complete gallery within 2 weeks via a private link. Download as often as you like, print wherever you choose. The files are yours.

Booking

A 50% deposit by PayNow or bank transfer holds your date. The balance is paid after the session. No cards, no surcharges.

There is no reschedule fee. Children run fevers on photo mornings and Singapore rains without asking. Message us and we move your date, and your deposit moves with it. Our full booking terms are published.
