Family Photoshoot With Pets in Singapore
Pets are family too, and a lot of Singapore families want them in the frame – not just the dog sitting politely on the side, but genuinely part of the portrait. It’s entirely doable, and it doesn’t need to be complicated.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we include our dog or cat in a family photoshoot?
Yes – pets are welcome at Orange Studios for an additional SGD 50. That covers your pet being part of the session alongside the rest of the family, not a separate add-on shoot.
Does our pet need any training or special behaviour?
No formal training needed. Calm and reasonably comfortable around people is enough – we work at your pet’s pace, the same way we work at a toddler’s pace. If your pet gets anxious in new environments, studio sessions can be more predictable than outdoor locations with unfamiliar sounds and smells; if your pet is more relaxed outdoors, that can work better instead. Tell us about your pet’s personality when booking and we’ll plan around it.
Studio or outdoor – which is better with a pet in the photos?
Depends on the pet. Nervous or easily-distracted pets often do better in the controlled studio environment – no other dogs, no traffic, no surprises. Confident, outdoor-comfortable pets can do beautifully at a park or garden setting, with more natural movement and light. If you’re unsure, tell us your pet’s temperament and we’ll recommend a fit.
What if our pet won’t cooperate on the day?
This happens, and it’s fine – we don’t force a pose that isn’t working. Some of the best pet photos come from a few minutes of genuine interaction rather than a held “sit and stay.” If your pet is having an off day, we’ll get a handful of natural, real shots rather than pushing for a formal group pose that isn’t happening.
Can we bring more than one pet?
Yes, multiple pets are welcome – each at the SGD 50 rate. Let us know how many and what kind when booking so we can plan session pacing accordingly; multiple pets plus young children takes a bit more time than either alone.
What should we bring for our pet?
Whatever keeps them comfortable and food-motivated – treats, a favourite toy, water, and a leash even for well-behaved pets. If your pet has a coat or bandana they wear for occasions, bring it; simple accessories photograph well without looking staged.
