Visiting families can book a professional vacation photoshoot in Singapore from SGD 399, with sessions running 1 to 1.5 hours at an iconic location such as Gardens by the Bay or Merlion Park. Every edited image is delivered in full resolution within two weeks, and the entire booking happens over WhatsApp — no Singapore phone number needed.

We’re Ryan and Wini, the husband-and-wife team behind Orange Studios. We’ve photographed more than 500 families since 2013 and hold a 4.9★ rating on Google. This guide answers everything travelling families ask us before booking: where to shoot, what it costs, how payment works from overseas, and what happens if it rains.

Why book a photoshoot on your Singapore trip?

Look through your last holiday’s photos and count how many include the person who took them. On most family trips, one parent exists only as a reflection in sunglasses. A vacation photoshoot puts everyone in the frame together — against a skyline you flew halfway around the world to see — and takes exactly one golden hour out of your itinerary.

Where should we shoot?

Each session covers one location, and we move through two or three photo spots within it. These are the five backdrops visiting families choose most:

Gardens by the Bay. The Supertree Grove is Singapore’s signature frame — futuristic, lush, and free to access for outdoor photos. No conservatory tickets needed.

Merlion Park and Marina Bay. The classic postcard: the Merlion in front, Marina Bay Sands across the water. We shoot it early morning, before the crowds arrive.

Chinatown shophouses. Heritage colour and texture in the lanes around Ann Siang Hill — and the backdrop that pairs beautifully with our 新中式 styling.

Singapore Botanic Gardens. A UNESCO World Heritage Site with open lawns and generous shade — the most comfortable choice for young children and grandparents.

Emerald Hill. Pastel Peranakan terraces two minutes from Orchard Road. Quiet, charming, and unmistakably Singaporean.

How much does a vacation photoshoot in Singapore cost?

Our vacation photoshoot sessions are the same sessions Singapore families book, opened to visitors:

  • Babymoon / maternity (28–36 weeks) — from SGD 399, 1 to 1.5 hours
  • Family (all ages, grandparents welcome) — from SGD 499, 1 to 1.5 hours
  • Fresh 48 (baby’s first 48 hours at a Singapore hospital) — from SGD 499

One thing we do differently: every edited image is yours, in full resolution. There are no 15-photo tiers and no per-image charges — the complete gallery is included in the price and delivered within two weeks.

How to book from overseas — four steps

  1. WhatsApp us at +65 8606 6950 with your travel dates, session type and group size. We reply within 24 hours with available golden-hour slots.
  2. Secure your date with a 50% deposit — by bank transfer, or PayPal if you prefer an overseas card (PayPal carries a 5% transaction fee).
  3. Meet us at the location. We guide you through every pose across 2–3 photo spots — relaxed, unhurried, kids and grandparents welcome.
  4. Settle the balance in cash (SGD) on the day. Your private online gallery arrives within two weeks, viewable from anywhere in the world.

Book at least three days before your preferred date. Golden-hour slots go first, so a week or two ahead is safest during school holidays.

What happens if it rains?

The question every visitor should ask — Singapore is tropical, and downpours happen. They’re usually short, so we first wait it out or shift your start time. If your schedule allows, we reschedule free within your trip dates. And if your itinerary is tight, we move the session to our air-conditioned studio at Oxley Bizhub the very same day. Either way, you fly home with photographs. Few vacation photographers in Singapore can promise that.

When is the best time of day?

Golden hour — roughly 7 to 9 in the morning, or the hour before sunset. Singapore sits on the equator, so midday light is harsh and the heat is real. Morning sessions have a second advantage: near-empty locations, especially at Merlion Park. If jet lag has your family awake at dawn anyway, put it to work.

What should we wear?

Light, breathable fabrics in neutral or earthy tones — cream, sand, sage, dusty blue — photograph beautifully against Singapore’s greenery and skyline. Coordinate rather than match, skip the big logos, and pack a spare top for young children. We send a full what-to-wear guide tuned to your chosen location when you book.

Frequently asked questions

Can tourists book a photoshoot in Singapore?

Yes — visiting families are a regular part of our calendar. Enquiry, booking, prep and gallery delivery all happen online, over WhatsApp and email.

How quickly do we receive our photos?

Every edited image arrives in full resolution via private online gallery within two weeks of your session. You don’t need to be in Singapore to receive it.

How do we pay from overseas?

A 50% deposit by bank transfer or PayPal (5% fee applies to PayPal) secures your date. The balance is simply cash in SGD on the day of the shoot.

Can we include grandparents or a larger group?

Absolutely — multigenerational sessions are one of our favourites. Just mention your group size when you enquire.

Do we need a permit to shoot at these locations?

No. Personal family photoshoots at Singapore’s public parks and streets don’t require permits, and we handle all location logistics for you.

Should we book the shoot for our first or last day?

Early in the trip. Jet lag makes dawn starts painless, and if weather forces a reschedule, you still have buffer days. Day two or three is the sweet spot — our full thoughts are in our itinerary guide.

Only in Singapore once? Let’s make it count.

WhatsApp your travel dates to +65 8606 6950 and we’ll reply within 24 hours with golden-hour slots — or see full session details on our vacation photoshoot page.
