Baby T, his parents, and their adorable pet dog Taffy came to our studio for a cake smash & family portrait session to celebrate his 1-year-old milestone. It was such a joyful time, and we’re so glad to have been part of their celebration.
Starting Off with Smiles
At the start, Baby T was calm and observant. It took him a little while to warm up, as many little ones do. However, once he settled in, his playful personality started to shine through. His parents and even Taffy helped create a fun, relaxed atmosphere during the shoot—and that made all the difference.
Let the Cake Smash Begin!
When the cake came out, Baby T’s eyes lit up! Although he began gently, he quickly got into it—exploring the textures, tasting the frosting, and making a delicious mess. These are always our favourite moments: babies just being themselves, curious and carefree.
We also wrapped up with a splash bath, and needless to say, Baby T absolutely loved it. It’s a great way to clean up andget more adorable shots!
What We Love About Cake Smash Sessions
Every baby reacts differently to their cake smash, which is what makes these sessions so memorable. Whether they dive in or cautiously poke at the cake, the joy is real. Add in pets or siblings and the fun multiplies!
